Earlier today, an unexpected event unfolded as a car penetrated the storefront of Sola Salon Studios, situated at 3 Center Plaza, just across from the bustling Boston City Hall Plaza. Boston Police Department reports confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 8:48 a.m., at the junction of Cambridge and Sudbury streets. The crash sent shards of glass sprawling and left the vehicle, a black Honda Civic, with a twisted front and a crumpled hood.
Photos shared on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, illustrate the damage inflicted upon the Honda Civic intimately involved with the structure of the salon. According to MassLive, the car stood out against the chaos of the morning commute, its broken form a stark contrast to the salon's now shattered facade.
The condition of the individual taken to the hospital has not been made public, but emergency responders from Boston EMS were seen transporting the driver away from the scene. The salon, known for its glass windows and contemporary beauty services, sustained visible damage, evident in the aftermath of the collision.
While the cause of the crash is currently under investigation, the sudden intrusion of the Civic into the daily routine of the salon punctuated the morning with an abrupt sense of urgency. With police and emergency crews responding swiftly, the salon's damaged windows stood as a testament to the morning's unforeseen events, as reported by WHDH.
