The City of Casa Grande is opening up the floor for public input on proposed service area modifications to the CG LINK Transit Service. Local residents have the opportunity to share their perspectives and influence the public transport options in their community. A public hearing is scheduled for next Thursday, where people can voice their opinions and concerns directly to city officials.
The hearings are strategically set to take place at two different locations to make it easier for citizens to attend. The Dorothy Powell Senior Center, located at 405 E. 6th Street, will host the first session from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Following that, the City Hall Council Chambers will hold the second session at 510 E. Florence Blvd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Community involvement is crucial for the City of Casa Grande as it explores ways to enhance the CG LINK transit system. Comments will be collected not only during the public hearing; residents can also submit their feedback electronically or by mail. The city encourages people to email their comments to [email protected] with "CG LINK Public Hearing" as the subject line. For those who prefer traditional mail, they can send their remarks to the provided CG LINK public hearing address. All mailed comments need to be postmarked by March 14, which is the closing date for the public comment period.
Residents are being encouraged to utilize the CG LINK service to get to the hearing, showcasing the transit system that is under evaluation. To schedule a ride, people can call at (520) 509-6900 or use the dedicated CG LINK App. Both hearing locations are equipped to welcome individuals with disabilities. The Transit Manager is available for reasonable accommodation or language assistance requests, which should be made at least 72 hours prior to the hearing. Interested parties can find further details by visiting the CG LINK website.
