
A 15-year-old male juvenile has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in Chicago. According to a statement from the Chicago Police Department, the young offender was taken into custody on the morning of February 6 at about 9:07 a.m. near the 500 block of S Kedzie Avenue.
He is accused of attempting to forcefully take property at gunpoint from a 60-year-old man on a CTA platform located in the same block where he would later be apprehended. This incident swiftly followed another episode, where the juvenile allegedly robbed a 17-year-old male in the 3100 block of W Harrison Street. Both locales fall under the 11th District, marking a geographical concentration of the accused's alleged criminal activity.
The charges against the juvenile include one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm, one felony count of attempted armed robbery with a firearm, and one felony count for unlawful use of a weapon by possessing, carrying, or concealing a firearm.
The suspect remains unnamed due to his juvenile status, and the police have not released any additional information at this time.
