According to the San Diego Police Department Watch Commander's log, the incident took place around noon yesterday, with the suspect feigning the presence of a weapon beneath his shirt as he demanded cash from an employee. Adhering to protocol, the clerk handed over the money, after which the suspect successfully escaped on foot.

The suspect has been described as a White male, presumed to be in his 30s, his face partially obscured by a cloth covering his nose and mouth, topped with a large hat. Officer S. Foster, who logged the incident, confirmed that robbery detectives are now handling the investigation. The community is being urged to come forward with any information that could lead to the individual's apprehension, as the storefront, nestled among the throngs of daily commerce, became an unexpected stage for criminal activity.
