The City of Delray Beach's Purchasing Department has received the 2025 Award of Excellence in Public Procurement, recognizing the city's commitment to best practices and transparency in procurement. Delray Beach is one of 25 entities to be honored this year, according to the City of Delray Beach announcement.
The Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials, Inc. (FAPPO) presented the award, which is given to agencies that exceed benchmarks for procurement excellence. The criteria for the award include innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership, as noted by FAPPO. FAPPO, established in 1968, advances public procurement through education and professional development for its members.
The City of Delray Beach has received various recognitions, including being named the #1 Best Beach in Florida by USA TODAY’s 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
