In a statement shared via social media, the Union Square Alliance expressed enthusiasm for bringing "world-class art" to San Francisco while acknowledging the delay caused by "unforeseen engineering challenges." The planned launch event, featuring Burning Man-inspired music and live DJ performances, will now be postponed as experts work toward a solution that ensures stability and safety.
Shannon Riley, CEO of Building 180, the production agency in charge of the artwork, clearly stated in an email that it is not canceled, reassuring those who had their party hats ready, per the San Francisco Examiner.
