St. Patrick's Day festivities are taking a playful turn in Kingsport, where the local Parks and Recreation Department is rolling out a virtual scavenger hunt for the community. In a bid to embrace Irish traditions, the week-long event invites participants to hunt down four leprechauns lurking around the city's parks. Those who succeed in this free, online challenge, slated for March 10 through March 16, will be in the running to win a free pavilion rental, as per the announcement on the department's website.
Thrill-seekers can register for the St. Patrick’s Scavenger Hunt starting March 10. Each registrant will receive a digital scavenger hunt card designed to aid in the tracking of the elusive leprechauns. The winner, brimming with luck, will be randomly chosen on St. Patrick's Day. "We wish you all the luck of the Irish in your hunt," stated Program Leader Milly Marmalade, according to the official announcement.
Registration can be done either through the direct link provided at bit.ly/4hjidUp or by navigating to the CivicRec link via the Connect Kingsport app. For desktop users, the registration path entails going to the city's official homepage at www.kingsporttn.gov and clicking on the “CivicRec” button, then searching for the scavenger hunt.
This scavenger hunt is just one of many activities on the docket for Kingsport's Parks and Recreation. For those interested in learning more about the numerous events, activities, and programs this department offers, they can explore further at www.kingsportparksandrecreation.org.
