Lake Havasu City residents can safely dispose of hazardous materials at the free Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday. The event, hosted by Republic Services, will take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Fire Station 2. Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted, according to the Lake Havasu City.
The city provides a safe disposal service for household hazardous wastes, such as latex paints and automotive fluids. Residents can drop off these materials by showing an ID or a billing statement as proof of residency. This ensures proper disposal and prevents pollution, as reported by the Lake Havasu City.
Lake Havasu is hosting an event for the disposal of up to 15 gallons of paint, 30 gallons of automotive fluids, chemicals, and e-waste. Pesticides and medical waste will not be accepted, as stated by the Lake Havasu City.
