Residents of Lake Worth Beach are gearing up to enjoy the newly renovated Osborne Community Center, which celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony this past Saturday. The Palm Beach County District 2 Commissioner Gregg Weiss, along with city officials, marked the completion of an extensive overhaul aimed at serving various segments of the community from seniors to young people.

With an investment of $266,814 of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds allocated by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, the center has seen remodeling inside and out. The project, as per Palm Beach County's announcement, included ADA improvements, the addition of exterior amenities, and essential repairs maintaining the facility's operational status. The Osborne Community Center houses programs that cater to a broad audience, encompassing ESL courses, Head Start activities, and several recreational opportunities.

Renovations were not taken lightly; envisioned as a vital backbone for local programs, the center is expected to be a gateway for many to opportunity and growth. According to the county's proclamation, it's been a collaborative effort that "will open doors to opportunity for a bright and sustainable future," speaking to the partnership's impact on the community, as mentioned on the county's official website.

Commissioner Gregg K. Weiss emphasized the importance of such unions for community advancement.
