A 58-year-old Lake Worth Beach man, Wilner Auguste, was arrested after a school officer stopped him for driving on the sidewalk and grass to enter the parking lot of Barton Elementary School yesterday. The officer discovered police-like lights on his car, handcuffs, and weapons including AR-15 magazines, a handgun, and bulletproof equipment.

According to CBS12, when questioned, Auguste initially claimed to be a police officer but later said he was "simply a security officer." He provided a private investigator license number and a security G-license number to support his claim. Despite this, the officer arrested him for falsely impersonating a law enforcement officer and possessing a badge resembling the Florida state seal.

During an inventory of his vehicle, a Sig Sauer handgun with full magazines and an empty chamber was found. As per Only Thugs Palm Beach County Mugshots Facebook post, Auguste was booked yesterday, with a bond of $5000 for impersonation and an additional $1000 for wearing an official sheriff’s badge or insignia. His booking number is 2025003711.
