The Louisiana DOTD is warning drivers about lane closures on I-12 Eastbound in East Baton Rouge Parish, starting yesterday, due to construction. Starting at 9 PM, the left lane on I-12 Eastbound will be closed from the I-10/I-12 split to Essen Lane until 5 AM. Then, at 10 PM, the two left lanes will also close until 5 AM.
Yesterday night, starting at 9 PM, there will be a mobile operation on I-10 Eastbound between the I-10/I-12 split and Essen Lane. They'll be putting down temporary stripes until 5 AM.
Gordon Nelson from Volkert, Inc., tossed out a reminder to keep it safe while construction crews are out there, telling us, "DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for work, crews and their equipment."
