A young man was found with multiple gunshot wounds at Grady Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening, after a shooting incident that occurred on Martin Luther King Junior Drive SW in Atlanta. The 23-year-old victim, who was conscious and able to communicate with officers upon their arrival, appears to have been the target of a shooting earlier that night, as reported by the Atlanta Police Department.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, which released a statement on the matter, the man had driven himself to the hospital at approximately 9:04 PM after sustaining injuries. The Aggravated Assault Unit has since been dispatched, and investigators are at the scene probing the circumstances that led to this violent episode, while, the victim continues to receive medical attention.

The Atlanta Police Department is requesting that anyone with information about this incident please come forward to assist with their inquiries. The investigation, as noted by the authorities, is active and ongoing.
