Authorities in Manchester, NH have announced the arrest of five individuals tied to a late-night brawl that transpired last year, as initially reported on the city's police department's social media. According to the Facebook post, the altercation broke out during a car meet on Holt Ave shortly after midnight on November 30, 2024, which resulted in the discharge of a firearm.
Manchester Police responded to the scene at 915 Holt Ave after reports of the fight and a gun being shot were made. As officers arrived, they witnessed several vehicles hastily attempting to leave the vicinity. Despite announcements for individuals to remain and exit their vehicles, the chaos continued. It has been established that the conflict began between two women and rapidly escalated, enticing several men to join and ultimately leading to the display of what's being described as a riot.
A video captured by a witness, which circulated on the internet, vividly shows participants on the ground engaging in the violent scuffle. Within that footage, a person can be clearly observed striking another with a crowbar, followed by the sound of a gunshot. The visual evidence became a cornerstone in the investigation, aiding in the identification of those involved.
After a thorough investigation, police managed to apprehend five people this week, charging each with Felony Riot. The individuals facing charges include 24-year-old Matthew Patrick Johnson of Windham, who in addition to the riot charge, was also charged with Reckless Conduct-Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threatening- Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Mischief. Other defendants are Sophia Santosuosso, Omar Mahmoud Chatila, Kalyse Allar-Foote, and Christopher Armstrong, whose ages and residences have also to be disclosed.
