
Two Massachusetts men face charges after a traffic stop on I-95 in Portsmouth uncovered a stash of narcotics and a tampered firearm, as reported by the New Hampshire State Police. On Monday evening, a speeding vehicle enticed police attention; a subsequent search unearthed around 350 grams of fentanyl, 75 grams of cocaine, and a firearm with a defaced serial number.
Frandy Arias Zapata, 23, and Eduardo Garcia, 24, from Methuen, were arrested by troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics Investigations Unit and face charges of possession with intent to distribute. According to the official State Police announcement, additional charges may soon follow. The pair were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled for arraignment in Portsmouth District Court on March 24.
