The Memphis Police Department has reported the arrest of one suspect and the continued search for another in connection with an attempted murder on Woodcliff Drive. According to their official Facebook page, on January 25, a male victim was critically injured in a shooting, and officers, upon arrival around 5:06 a.m., found the injured party and provided emergency medical transport. Investigators identified Rondarius Clifton and Jeremiah Cotton as suspects in the case, issuing warrants for Attempted First Degree Murder and other felon-associated charges on Wednesday.
Following the trail, the Austin Peay Task Force and OCU spotted Rondarius Clifton on Friday as he departed from the vicinity of Ridgecrest Apartments. After a roadway intervention at 2711 James Road, Clifton attempted to elude the police on foot but was captured after a short pursuit. The case now pivots on pursuing the at-large suspect, Jeremiah Cotton, with the Memphis Police urging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers, incentivizing leads with a potential cash reward.
