The Milton Police Department, with the support of the New Hampshire State Police, is currently seeking public assistance in the search for Eugene W. Burroughs, a missing elderly man. The 73-year-old was last spotted yesterday at his residence on Winding Road in Milton. It is believed he may have ventured on foot into the woods nearby.
Described as 5’7” in height and weighing around 200 lbs., Burroughs has gray/brown hair and blue eyes. He was seen wearing a black knit cap, a blue jacket, gray pants, and black snowmobile-type shoes. Burroughs is a vulnerable adult who requires daily medication and has a mental health illness. Given the cold weather conditions, concern for his safety and well-being is pronounced.
Law enforcement, bolstered by multiple resources including a K9 team and a drone, is leading an extensive search effort for Burroughs. The state has activated a Silver Alert, reflecting the urgency of the situation and the need for community awareness to aid in locating him.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Eugene W. Burroughs, to immediately contact the Milton Police Department at (603) 652-4500.
