The recent domestic dispute that turned fatal on Sunday evening has culminated in the death of 44-year-old Leslie Yount. Yount suffered from a gunshot wound to her abdomen after an altercation with her boyfriend at their 301 28th Avenue North apartment. She was discovered by Midtown Hills Precinct officers following an emergency call at 8:40 p.m.
Yount's boyfriend, Ray Greer, 64, was present at the scene and has admitted to authorities he shot her during the said argument over money. According to a Nashville government release, Greer was earlier charged with attempted criminal homicide and is expected to now face upgraded charges following Yount's death.
Greer, since the event, remains incarcerated on an $80,000 bond. The upgrade of Greer's charges was expected to be officially finalized yesterday.
