David Claiborne, 33, was arrested on Tuesday after shooting into a woman's home on Crutcher Street while a child was present. Before the shooting, the woman received a threatening text from Claiborne. He then shouted from outside and fired at her door and windows. Detectives quickly tracked him to a house on Dabbs Avenue. When Claiborne tried to escape during a traffic stop, he was quickly caught, and a firearm was found along his escape route, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

During his encounter with the detectives, Claiborne admitted to the shooting. The Metro Nashville Police Department has confirmed that he was arrested and, subsequently, faced charges of two counts of aggravated assault and is currently held on a $100,000 bond.
