Nashville's Metro Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that left a man critically injured. On Saturday, 40-year-old Josh T. Taylor was struck by a red Jeep SUV in front of 2214 8th Avenue South, where he had parked his vehicle at a dry cleaner. The driver did not stop after the collision, as reported by WSMV.
According to The Tennessean, Taylor was crossing the street to the Smiling Elephant restaurant when a northbound red SUV hit him. The impact threw Taylor into traffic, where a second car struck him. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and assisted authorities with the investigation, while the driver of the first vehicle left the scene.
The Metro Nashville Police Department is searching for a red Jeep with a black door and front driver's side damage in connection with an incident in Nashville's Melrose community that left a victim, Taylor, in critical condition. Eyewitnesses assisted Taylor before emergency services transported the victim to the hospital. As stated by WSMV, a county-wide Be On the Lookout has been issued, with police requesting public assistance in locating the vehicle or its driver.
