Oceanside Police are currently spearheading a homicide investigation following the discovery of a male victim found deceased in a dirt lot on Foussat Road. The call, which came through yesterday just after midday, resulted in police officers unearthing the body, showing "obvious traumatic injuries" at approximately 12:28 PM, as reported by the Oceanside Police Department.

While the identity of the deceased has been withheld as they await the delicate task of notifying the next of kin, investigative work by the Crimes of Violence Unit is well underway. These detectives, who specialize in the most visceral of human conflicts, have taken the lead, signaling the grave nature of this case.
