Tonight's skies are expected to remain mostly clear with the mercury dipping to around 43 degrees. While the wind is set to remain light, it will shift direction to the east at about 6 mph as evening falls. Turning to Tuesday, the NWS predicts a partly sunny day with a more moderate high of 57 degrees and a gentle north northeast breeze.
Midweek brings warmer conditions back, with Wednesday's highs forecasted to reach near 75 under mostly sunny skies. "Southwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph," states the NWS update. Wednesday night should maintain mostly clear conditions with a low around 46.
As the week continues, temperatures are expected to fluctuate. Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 58, followed by a mostly clear night and a low around 35. The NWS assures that Friday will warm up slightly to a high near 62 and remain mostly sunny. For early birds and night owls, Friday night is predicted to be partly cloudy with low settling around 52.
The weekend greets Oklahomans with agreeable weather; Saturday will see sunny conditions and a high close to 70 degrees, whereas Saturday night will cool off significantly, returning to a low around 34. The following Sunday, residents can expect a mostly sunny day with high temperatures near 51, rounding out a relatively temperate week in Oklahoma City.
