After nearly two years, authorities have arrested Carl Taylor, a 25-year-old from Orlando, in connection to a 2023 homicide in Central Broward. Taylor faces a first-degree murder charge for the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Nathaniel Ursery.

Local 10 reports the incident occurred on April 6, 2023, at around 2 a.m. on the 2900 block of Northwest Eighth Court, where Ursery was shot in the neck.

According to NBC Miami, Ursery was taken to Broward Health Medical Center but died from his injuries 23 days later. Investigators used certain methods to identify Taylor as the shooter, leading to an arrest warrant. On Friday last week, the Broward Sheriff's Office's V.I.P.E.R. unit arrested Taylor, who is now being held without bond at Broward Main Jail.
