San Francisco Beer Week is set to kick off with a unique event as the SFMTA, Standard Deviant Brewing, and San Francisco City Football Club (SFCFC) join forces to celebrate public transit and local businesses through a Muni-themed beer crawl starting on Friday.
The limited-edition India Pale Ale launched by this partnership, fittingly named "Hop on Muni," is an ode to the city's transit heritage, and it's hitting the taps during the San Francisco Beer Week from Friday, Feb. 21 to March 2, beer enthusiasts and transit riders alike are invited to hop aboard this one-of-kind experience that not only showcases the brew but encourages visiting various bars and eateries along selected Muni routes, with participants collecting stickers to compete for prizes.
Those interested can initiate their crawl at the "Hop on Muni" Beer Week Kick-Off Event at Standard Deviant on Friday at 4 p.m., where attendees will grab their game cards and purchase their first pint of "Hop on Muni" to earn an inaugural sticker.
