West Palm Beach has made headlines again with the arrest of a second suspect in a high-profile shooting case. Denzel Racine, 21, was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted first-degree murder and three counts of shooting into a building. The incident occurred on August 28, 2024, when several homes in Victoria Woods were struck by gunfire.

According to WPBF, Racine is accused of being at the 1200 block of Sweet Violet Court when the shots were fired. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office used cellphone records to link Racine to the scene, showing that he was in contact with 19-year-old Leondre Joseph at the time.

In a further development, surveillance footage showed a black Toyota Camry in the area during the shooting. The car was linked to Joseph, who frequently drove the vehicle registered to his mother, according to court records and CBS12.

Racine, during a post-Miranda interview, denied involvement in the shooting despite finding "dozens" of text messages between him and Joseph, as CBS12 reported. Joseph was arrested on Tuesday and faces similar charges.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting that disrupted the neighborhood.
