As FOX13 reports, a witness identified Jimmy Lopez, 18 at the time, as the shooter in the killing of Marvin Lopez, whose shared surname is a mere coincidence.
Jimmy Lopez has a criminal record littered with violent and firearms-related felonies. Before his latest arrest, he had been paroled from Utah State Prison on drug charges two years ago. With his recent capture, KSLTV notes that the Unified Police are continuing their investigations and have plans to interview three more individuals believed to have been in the vehicle with Lopez at the time of the murder.
