
Yesterday morning, a fire broke out at a vacant hotel on the 1000 block of N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, prompting a response from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue. Crews noticed heavy smoke while en route to another call and launched a firefighting operation involving over 60 personnel, including support from nearby agencies, to control the blaze, as per a Local 10 report.
NBC Miami reported that the fire was extinguished. Firefighters remained at the scene for over an hour after the fire was put out, working to eliminate any remaining hot spots.
WSVN reported that no injuries occurred during the incident, and fire officials are now focusing on determining the cause of the fire as their investigation continues.
