In a gesture emblematic of community support and appreciation, Toyota of North Miami recently organized a special breakfast for the North Miami Police Department's overnight officers. According to a report by WSVN, the event took place yesterday at the department, recognizing the officers who often work outside the view of the public eye.
The dealership took intentional steps to honor and appreciate the hard work of the overnight shift. Juan Dominguez from Toyota of North Miami emphasized the importance of this recognition, stating, "These are the people who work late night shifts in our community and maybe they don’t get the recognition everyday as they should. So today we’re giving back and just saying thank you to our community," as noted by the WSVN.
Major Kessler Brooks of the NMPD told WSVN, "When they’re out there we’re asleep. Most people only see these officers when something tragic happens or not under great circumstances. So to have Toyota of North Miami come out, bring food, remind them that they are recognized, that they are valued, it goes a long way."
Part of a broader initiative, the breakfast is one of many random acts of kindness demonstrated by Toyota of North Miami over the years. The dealership's activities were further spotlighted in an Instagram post by the North Miami Police Department, where they expressed their gratitude saying, "Thank you, Toyota of North Miami, for choosing the North Miami Police Department’s Midnight Shift to share breakfast with during this week’s Random Act of Kindness." The post continues, underlining the event's significance, "Because of their late-night hours, the Midnight Shift often goes unnoticed, making this recognition even more meaningful. We truly appreciate Toyota of North Miami for honoring these dedicated men and women."
