A severe car crash in Brockton yesterday left two men seriously injured after their vehicle struck a utility pole and careened into a cemetery. According to NBC Boston, the incident occurred on North Cary Street just after 11 a.m. Brockton police reported that the car, while attempting to change lanes heading south, jumped a curb, causing the crash.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters worked to extricate the driver and passenger from the vehicle. Both individuals were then transported to a local hospital with severe injuries. The wreck unfolded near a cemetery, where, upon losing control, the car collided with several headstones, WHDH News reported.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. This is the second serious crash on North Cary Street within three days. Earlier, a collision just blocks away resulted in two fatalities and one injury when a car struck a tree. Authorities continue to investigate the incidents to determine their causes and assess any potential traffic or infrastructure factors.
