
A youth basketball league is set to begin at the West Boynton Recreation Center, inviting boys and girls aged 6-11 to participate. The league will focus on the fundamentals of basketball, including passing, dribbling, and understanding rotations, with weekly practices leading up to a six-game season.
According to the Palm Beach County website, Registrations are now open: kids aged 6-8 will practice on Tuesday evenings, while 9-11-year-olds will practice on Wednesdays. Games will take place on Saturdays, with start times throughout the morning and afternoon. Player evaluations will be held on March 18 and 19 at 6 p.m. at the West Boynton Park and Recreation Center, 6000 Northtree Blvd, Lake Worth, FL.
Space is limited, and registration is available both online and in person at the recreation center. Volunteer coaches are also being sought to help guide and mentor the young athletes. The cost for participation is $70 per player.
