This comes at a time when the D.C. area is bracing to potentially face further weather threats, including a wintry mix on Saturday and snow or a mix Monday into Tuesday.

Additionally, the Hazardous Weather Outlook outlines concerns for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and the I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia, with the Winter Weather Advisories being in effect through mid-Thursday morning. The advisories note that ice and sleet are expected to accumulate, which could create dangerous travel conditions.

The outlook also highlights a slight winter storm threat Saturday for a potential wintry mix, and Monday into Tuesday for snow or a mix.
