
A structure fire claimed the life of an adult woman in Logan, casting a grim note over the community early Saturday morning. The residence on Meadowbrook Drive, near the intersection of 900 West and 900 South, became the scene of tragedy as firefighters battled the blaze. FOX 13 reported that the woman was found inside the structure once the fire was extinguished.
Heading to the call, fire crews were informed that there might be an individual trapped where the fire originated. Assistant Chief Humphreys noted, upon the firefighter's arrival, that smoke and flames were evident emanating from a single room on the second story, as detailed by KUTV. After the firefighters responded, an adult woman was found deceased in the fire, which started in one room and spread.
This incident first became known to authorities around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday. ABC 4 reported the Logan police’s response to the report of the fire at the address near 900 West and 1000 South. The early morning blaze resulted in emergency services rushing to the site, only to be faced with the grim reality of the victim's situation.
