In a recent operation by Auburn Police Detectives, a man was taken into custody after being caught in a narcotics sting. The Auburn MA Police Department detailed the operation in a social media post, stating that detectives had identified an individual reportedly distributing drugs within the community.
On Monday, detectives set up a drug buy from the suspect, 35-year-old Nathan Concepcion of Worcester, who showed up at an Oxford Street North location in Auburn shortly after 5:30 p.m. Upon arriving and realizing he was about to be detained, Concepcion fled in his vehicle, throwing a bag of cocaine from his car during the flight, only to pull over shortly afterward when he noticed the arrival of supporting patrol officers.
The incident concluded with Concepcion facing multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failing to stop for police, and possession with the intent to distribute a Class B substance, cocaine. The Auburn Police Department held Mr. Concepcion until he posted a $1,000 bail, leading to his arraignment in Worcester District Court the following day.
In a bid to emphasize the ongoing fight against narcotics distribution, the Auburn Police Department’s post encouraged locals to report drug activity and assured anonymity for tips provided by phone or through their dedicated email service.
