The City of Boca Raton is hosting its 5th Annual Battle of the Bands and Young Entrepreneurs Market on August 8, at Mizner Park Amphitheater. Bands can apply for a chance to win the $2,500 grand prize and perform in front of an audience. Last year, Midnight3 won the People's Choice Award, UnRavel took the Under 20 category, and the Ryan Cooper Band won the Over 20 category.
According to the City of Boca Raton, applications are open now through June 20 and bands of all genres are encouraged to apply. The Young Entrepreneurs Market will also feature under-20 business owners showcasing innovative products and ideas, with the same application deadline of June 20.
The event will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with booths for the public to explore while the bands perform.
