The Burlington Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the community to help identify two suspects involved in a high-value theft. According to reports from WHDH and JGPR, $9,000 worth of sunglasses were stolen from LensCrafters at the Burlington Mall, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, on Monday, March 10, around 5 p.m.
In this coordinated heist, one suspect reportedly distracted a store employee while their accomplice filled a backpack with the high-end eyewear. These individuals are not new to the scene, they are known to frequently target the store for shoplifting, however, their identities remain unknown to the authorities. In a statement obtained by WHDH, the Burlington Police Department relayed that they responded to the scene promptly following the incident.
The Burlington Police, led by Chief Thomas Browne, are asking anyone with information on the suspects to come forward to aid in their investigation.
