A man has been arrested in Chelsea for allegedly stabbing another individual yesterday, an incident that took place in broad daylight. The Chelsea Police Department reported via social media that 26-year-old Eduardo Romero has been charged with Assault to Kill among other related offenses. The arrest followed a swift investigation after the victim, a 24-year-old Chelsea resident, informed an officer on detail about the stabbing at approximately 3:10 PM on Broadway.
According to the police department's Facebook post, the officer quickly administered medical aid, and the victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The police acted on a provided suspect description, which subsequently led to Romero's capture. Chelsea Police Chief Keith Houghton praised the officers' response, stating, “Our officers acted quickly to provide critical medical assistance to the victim, while also securing key information that led to the identification and arrest of the suspect.”
