Chicago law enforcement has taken a 49-year-old man into custody on charges of felony burglary and criminal damage to property. The accused, Samuel Victory of the 3500 block of W. Division St., faces eight felony counts, split evenly between the two charges. Chicago Police Department reports indicate the arrest took place on Wednesday at the 2800 block of W. North Ave.
Working in collaboration, the tactical teams and Area Five Detectives located and apprehended Victory the day before his detention hearing. Identified as the perpetrator behind several burglaries, he caused considerable damage during the incidents. According to the Chicago Police Department, the crimes occurred over two separate periods last year and earlier this year, racking up enough evidence for the police to file charges.
Victory's alleged criminal activity spanned several instances. The burglaries and subsequent property damage took place on September 24 and 27, 2024, in the 2100 block of N. St. Louis, and on February 6 and 7, 2025, in the 2100 block of N. Kimball. With the properties located in the 14th District, Victory's actions have brought him under scrutiny of the local law enforcement.
As disclosed by law enforcement, following his capture, Victory was placed into custody and had the charges laid out against him. "The offender was placed into custody and charged accordingly," the police statement read. At this juncture, no additional details regarding the case have been released to the public.
