
On Tuesday, a 17-year-old juvenile was apprehended by law enforcement in Chicago, the Chicago Police Department and members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force being the agencies to jointly execute the collar. The young male faces serious criminal charges: two felony counts of armed robbery and one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a weapon, besides two misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the official Chicago Police Department statement, the juvenile was captured on the 1100 block of S. Hamilton Ave.
The incidents linked to these charges date back to 2023 and 2024. In one instance, the juvenile is alleged to have, at gunpoint, commandeered a vehicle from a 65-year-old man on the 2200 block of W. Diversey Ave. The other armed robbery incident involved two 50-year-old victims on the 7100 block of S. Green St. The juvenile has been identified as the perpetrator in both cases. Upon his arrest, he was placed into custody and formally charged.
