Emerson Watson Jr., a 19-year-old from the 6800 block of S. Normal Blvd. in Chicago, Illinois, has been hit with eleven counts of felony robbery after being accused of a series of armed robberies, Chicago Police Department reports. The young man was ensnared by the law on Wednesday.
Watson's alleged string of crimes was meticulously detailed by authorities, with the offenses dating back to last year, stretching from September to December. The reported victims, who numbered into the double digits, were purportedly enticed through an online marketplace, whereupon they were subsequently robbed at gunpoint. The locations of these incidents primarily centered around the block of 1100 N. Menard and the 8600 S. Phillips block, with the former seeing repeated robberies over a series of dates.
