Tragedy struck a Layton neighborhood on Friday afternoon when an electrocution incident involving a metal ladder and a live power line sent one man to the hospital in critical condition, according to Gephardt Daily. Reports indicate that a 24-year-old male was working on cleaning rain gutters at a residence when a mishap occurred with the power lines.

Firefighters from Layton responded to the emergency around 12:30 p.m., finding the man critically injured upon their arrival.
