
An employee of the City of Cumming, Georgia, was tragically killed early Monday morning when a truck struck her in the parking lot of the City of Cumming Utilities Water Distribution facility. As reported by WSBTV, the incident took place around 7 a.m. on Dahlonega Highway.
Emergency services responded quickly, but the 44-year-old woman died at the scene before they could assist. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. The identity of the employee has not been released pending family notification.
"The City of Cumming is very much a family, and we are all in shock and utterly heartbroken following this morning’s tragedy. We ask for the community to join us in prayer for the family and friends of our lost employee, as well as for our entire City of Cumming family," officials stated, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
