Deerfield Beach residents can take advantage of a free shredding event on Saturday next week during the Centennial Community Day & Expo. According to the City of Deerfield Beach official website, the event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Leo Robb Gymnasium, located at 445 SW 2nd St, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.
Before attending, residents should remove large metal or plastic clips and notebook spines or covers from their documents. Staples and paperclips are fine to leave on. Each resident can bring up to two standard-sized boxes of documents to shred.
Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, is required, as the event is only for Deerfield Beach residents. This shredding event is part of a monthly series running through September.
