Commuters in Destrehan and surrounding areas should prepare for some changes in their daily routes this week. St. Charles Parish has announced that due to road construction, Ormond Center Court is currently closed off from 150 Ormond Center Court (Rotolo's Pizza) to 3001 Ormond Blvd (Buddy's Frostop). A detour has been established to help keep vehicle traffic flowing, providing a temporary solution as workers tend to the road.
In addition to local road disruptions, state road closures are impacting traffic as well. Westbound and Eastbound US 90 will see alternating lane closures starting on Monday, March 24, lasting until today at 4:00 PM, weather permitting. Given a statement obtained by St. Charles Parish, both left and right lanes will experience partial closures intermittently. Flanked by Barton Ave and the Jefferson / St Charles Parish Line, the closures serve the necessity for the placement of soils and guardrail preparations.
