
An elderly Canadian man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday evening. The Boca Raton Police Services Department confirmed the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. near N. Federal Highway and NE 24th Street, as reported by CBS12.
According to Boca News Now, 86-year-old Henry Wilson, from Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, was crossing the road when a 2006 Nissan Murano, driven by Franklin Palacios of Boca Raton, hit him. Boca Raton Police confirmed the crash details and stated that the vehicle struck Wilson while traveling through the intersection, causing fatal injuries. The investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
Despite efforts from the Boca Raton Fire Rescue team, Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time, and the investigation is continuing.
