The Escondido Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a suspect linked to a rash of vehicle vandalism in downtown Escondido. The string of incidents, which occurred on February 2, resulted in significant damage to at least ten vehicles, amounting to a total exceeding $10,000.
A social media post from the Escondido Police Department included an image of the suspect, who was recorded on surveillance wearing a distinctive hoodie adorned with a red, snake-like logo and a shirt bearing an unidentified ribbon-like lettering.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the person responsible to step forward. They have solicited assistance by providing contact details for Detective Andrew Wyse at 760-839-4738, as well as the EPD Tip Line, which is available 24/7 at 760-743-8477. In their effort to cast a wider net, the department assures those who come forward that they can remain anonymous, should they choose to.
