The City of Fall River Police Department, in a recent collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police, has made significant headway in their ongoing battle against drug trafficking and related firearms issues in the city. A joint operation, named "Operation White Out," involved the execution of several search warrants and culminated in the arrest of two suspects, along with the confiscation of drugs, weapons, and cash. This action has been a response to persistent complaints from local residents about suspected illegal activities plaguing their neighborhood.
As detailed in a Facebook post by the Fall River Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Special Tactics Operations Team (STOP) breached 211 Hathaway Commons Rd., while other teams moved in on 672 Tucker St. and additional storage units at a U-Haul facility located at 110 Lewiston St. The location on Tucker Street, in particular, has been associated with ongoing community grievances pertaining to suspected drug transactions and the ensuing public safety challenges. The arrests at this address — of Jonathan White, aged 35, and Tiffany Cabral, aged 36 — have sent a clear message regarding the police's resolve in this matter.
The haul from this operation is notable for its variety and potential impact on street-level drug and firearm offenses. According to the police department's release, seized items included three "ghost" guns, a "ghost" polymer lower, 9mm ammunition, about 32 grams of fentanyl, quantities of Xanax, Oxycodone, steroids, two 3D printers used to make firearm components, and approximately $24,000 in cash. The inclusion of "ghost" guns — firearms without serial numbers, hence difficult to trace — highlights a concerning trend in illegal weapon manufacture and distribution.
Both White and Cabral are facing serious charges as a result of Operation White Out. The Fall River Police Department reported that the charges include multiple firearm violations, fentanyl trafficking, and drug distribution.
