Authorities are ramping up efforts to apprehend a suspect following a recent bank robbery in the Loop area, with the FBI releasing surveillance photos and asking the public to offer any information that might lead to an arrest. According to WGN-TV, the incident took place just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday when a man allegedly demanded money from a Citibank at the corner of West Washington Street and North Dearborn Street.

The suspect, described by the FBI as a 6-foot to 6-foot-3 male with a heavy build, implied he was armed and compelled a teller to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled, and though the authorities have not disclosed how much money was taken the search continues with the FBI combing through clues to pinpoint the perpetrator's identity. The Chicago Sun-Times detailed the clothing worn by the suspect during the robbery, which included a light-colored hoodie, reflective sunglasses, a medical mask, a gray long-sleeved shirt, a blue polo, denim pants, and light-colored sneakers.

No injuries were reported in the course of the robbery, and the investigation remains ongoing. The FBI's Chicago Field Office is urging anyone with information to contact them at 312-421-6700 or to provide tips anonymously online at tips.fbi.gov, as per WGN-TV.
