The City of Fort Lauderdale is inviting residents to a public meeting on Wednesday next week at 6:30 p.m. at ArtServe, 1350 East Sunrise Blvd, to contribute to the streetscape vision for NE 15th Avenue. The meeting will allow participants to help shape the project’s design, which spans from Sunrise Boulevard to the South Fork of the Middle River.

According to the City of Fort Lauderdale, the improvements will include raised intersections, higher crosswalks near NE 18th Street's roundabout, and a new crosswalk at NE 15th Street. There will also be landscaped medians similar to those on NE 11th Street and NE 13th Street. The design will incorporate elements from a pilot project on NE 11th and NE 13th Streets.

The project is funded by a grant from the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization. For more information or questions, residents can contact Karen Warfel, Transportation Planning Manager, at (954) 828-3798 or [email protected]
