Spencer Ah Nee, 32, and Andrelin-Stacey Ramos, 36, both of Hilo, have been arrested and charged in connection with a car theft on February 9 at Onekahakaha Beach Park, where an elderly tourist’s rental car keys were stolen. The vehicle was recovered on February 11 during a public domestic dispute involving the suspects. Ramos was arrested at the scene, while Ah Nee fled and was later apprehended last Monday, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Ramos has been charged with second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, with bail set at $2,000. Ah Nee faces multiple charges, including first-degree unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, multiple theft charges, and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug. Police reported that Ah Nee was found with a syringe containing methamphetamine at the time of arrest. His bail is set at $40,100, as stated by the Hawaii Police Department.

Authorities state that certain crimes, including theft and unauthorized entry, have increased penalties when the victim is 60 or older. Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Amy Omaya of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers, as reported by the Hawaii Police Department.
