A Hollywood neighborhood is in shock after a deadly shooting on Saturday night. According to WSVN, Hollywood Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:15 p.m. along the 6300 block of Pierce Street.
The Hollywood Police found one person dead when they arrived. A local resident, Esteban Reyes, recalled hearing two shots two houses away from his home. Local resident, John Martinez told WSVN, "It is shocking, 'cause this is such a great neighborhood." He expressed disbelief that a shooting would occur in such a peaceful area.
The Miami Herald reports that authorities have not released information about a suspect. Anyone with information can contact Hollywood Police at 954-764-4357 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS, with a reward of up to $5,000 for helpful tips.
