Jefferson Parish's small business community is gearing up for an event that's a first of its kind in the area. Councilman Byron Lee of District 3 is playing host to the inaugural Small Business Industry Day, set to take place at the John A. Alario Center on April 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This initiative aims to formulate connections and uncover new avenues for local entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts.
In a statement obtained by Jefferson Parish's official site, Lee expressed his enthusiasm for the event. "I am excited to host Jefferson Parish's first Small Business Industry Day, where entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community members can come together to create meaningful connections and discover new opportunities," Lee declared. His focus is on empowering local businesses and providing vital insights into government contracting at all levels.
Those attending the event can look forward to rubbing elbows with a wide array of influential figures. This includes bankers, decision-makers, solution providers, business leaders, and contracting officers from state, local and federal levels. The opportunity will be ripe for expanding one’s network, exploring potential partnerships, and gaining an understanding of the intricacies involved with government contracting.
